Farewell George Bush; Obama has officially been inaugurated as the United States of America’s 44th president!  The first African-American President caused chaos at the Capital Building today, but after messing up a few times during his speech, his new title is President-elect Barack Obama!  “Yes we can”.  We better be able to, because right now, our country has quite a few issues that need to be worked out.  So, your Daily Dose of Randomness for today is…

NEW NEWS

Sorry there haven’t been any new posts recently, but yes, there is some new news. This website is now also going to act a a news blog! So, let’s start with the NEWS today!!! Today, January 15th, a plane crashed into the Hudson River. The plane, an Airbus A320, had just taken off from LaGuardia Airport bound for Charlotte, North Carolina. Still to be confirmed, the pilot flew the plane into the freezing Hudson after a flock of birds, most likely geese, knocked out both engines. We will now have a moment of silence for those birds. :,( ……. :,( All of the 155 passengers came out of the doors and onto the wing, where they remained until taken to safety as the plane slowly sank. (Why the plane sank slowly instead of plummeting to the bottom of the river is a mystery to me!) Amazingly, every one of the passengers escaped, with only one sustaining minor injuries***. I live right on Long Island, so if I were a few miles closer I could have seen all this happening! But I wasn’t. So I didn’t. So there.

Now…what? You didn’t think I’d stop writing Daily Doses of Randomness, did you??? Well, I’M NOT! However they will now all have something to do with any news happening that day. So, for today…

Okay, for the last day of 2008, it’s a special Daily Dose of Randomness.  Well, not really.  But I’m breaking the chain in the Xmas theme, even though I haven’t been posting lately.  Remember:  It will never ever, ever, ever, EVER, EVER EVER again EVER again!!! So, for the 2008 Olympic Games, here it is!
